Säfsen offers wonderful skiing between December and April, both downhill and cross-country. The artificial snow facility is well developed and provides good conditions for skiing despite the town being quite far south.
There is a shorter artificial snow track for cross-country skiing just below Säfsen Alpine. Otherwise, there are several track centers in the area with natural snow and snowmobile tracks.
